Yelena Ogneva, DPM

Dr. Yelena Ogneva received her Doctorate Degree in Podiatric Medicine (DPM) at New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2004, followed by an additional two-year program in Podiatric Surgery at New York Methodist Hospital where she had extensive training in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery. She also had the privilege to be trained by the Chief of the Podiatry Department, Dr. Ronald Soave, a world-renowned specialist in Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Board Certified in Podiatric Orthopedics and Podiatric Surgery, Dr. Ogneva is also a member of the Podiatric Medical Association of New York. She has admitting privileges as attending Podiatrist and Foot Surgeon at NYHQ/ New York Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New Parkway Hospital, and Queens Ambulatory Surgical Center (Queens Surgi-Center).

Dr. Ogneva's areas of specialty include General Podiatry, diabetic injury, arthritis, and ulcers resulting from poor circulation. Additionally, she specializes in comprehensive orthopedic foot medicine and surgical feet procedures.

At NYU Medical at Columbus, Dr. Ogneva provides a full range of diagnostic procedures to recognize early signs of Peripheral Neuropathy and Peripheral Vascular Disease of lower extremities. She also treats various kinds of skin and nail conditions, including fungal, skin and nail infections, ingrown toenails, heel pain, arch pain and flat feet.

Since feet have a complex interrelation with the rest of the body and may be the first area to show signs of serious systematic conditions, Dr. Ogneva strives to care for the patient as a whole, working individually with each patient to help them maintain happy feet.
